Effective Date: March 23, 2026
π The short version: We don't sell your data. We don't share your data. We don't want your data. PhoneRestore exists to fix your phone, not to spy on you.
PhoneRestore is operated by Silverplate Partners LLC, doing business as PhoneRestore ("Company," "we," "us," "our"). We build tools that help people keep their phones working properly. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what we do with it.
We believe in minimal data collection. We follow these principles:
PhoneRestore monitors and restores device settings β things like WiFi status, volume levels, screen brightness, Bluetooth, and installed apps. PhoneRestore does not access, read, or store your personal content such as messages, browsing history, or files on our servers. It does not modify your personal content in any way.
PhoneRestore also includes the following features, each operating with strict local-only data access:
4a. Device Settings (App Users)
When you use PhoneRestore, we store a snapshot of your device settings (WiFi on/off, volume levels, brightness, installed app list, etc.) so we can restore them if something changes. This data is:
4b. Account Information
If you create an account or pair with a caregiver, we collect:
That's it. No name, phone number, address, age, or demographics required.
4c. Photo Recovery Data
The Photo Recovery feature reads your device's local media trash to identify and display recoverable photos. This processing occurs entirely on your device. We do not upload, store, transmit, or have access to any of your photos or media files. Photo data never leaves your device.
4d. Blocked Caller Data
The Blocked Caller Detection feature reads your device's blocked numbers list locally to compare against your saved snapshot. This data is not transmitted to our servers and is not included in caregiver sync.
4e. Device & App Diagnostics
Google Firebase (our backend provider) automatically collects basic technical information when you use the App, including your device model, Android OS version, app version, and timestamps of authentication events. This information is used solely for authentication, security, and service operation. We do not enable Firebase Analytics or any crash reporting SDKs.
4f. Subscription & Billing
Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment information (credit card numbers, billing address, etc.). We receive only a confirmation of your subscription status from Google Play.
4g. Waitlist (Website Visitors)
If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address solely to notify you when PhoneRestore launches. We do not send marketing emails beyond launch updates, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
To be crystal clear, PhoneRestore does not collect, access, read, or store:
Device settings snapshots are stored locally on your device. If caregiver features are enabled, data is synced via Google Firebase (Firestore + Authentication), hosted in the United States, using encryption in transit and at rest. We use Firebase's security rules to ensure only you and your authorized caregivers can access your data. Photo Recovery and Blocked Caller Detection process all data locally on your device; no photo or call data is ever sent to our servers.
We use the following services to operate PhoneRestore:
We do not use any analytics, tracking, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs.
PhoneRestore is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
