Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 23, 2026 Last Updated: May 24, 2026

πŸ”’ The short version: We don't sell your data. We don't share your data. We don't want your data. We don't use your data to train AI. PhoneRestore exists to fix your phone, not to spy on you.

1. Who We Are

PhoneRestore is operated by Silverplate Partners LLC, doing business as PhoneRestore ("Company," "we," "us," "our"). We build tools that help people keep their phones working properly. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what we do with it.

2. Our Privacy Commitment

We believe in minimal data collection. We follow these principles:

3. What the App Does

PhoneRestore monitors and restores device settings β€” things like WiFi status, volume levels, screen brightness, Bluetooth, and installed apps. PhoneRestore does not access, read, or store your personal content such as messages, browsing history, or files on our servers. It does not modify your personal content in any way.

PhoneRestore also includes the following features, each operating with strict local-only data access:

4. Data We Collect

Throughout this section, we distinguish between data the app accesses on your device (which never leaves your phone) and data we collect (which is transmitted to or stored on our servers). We collect only what is described below.

4a. Device Settings (App Users)

When you use PhoneRestore, we store a snapshot of your device settings (WiFi on/off, volume levels, brightness, installed app list, etc.) so we can restore them if something changes. This data is:

4b. Account Information

If you create an account or pair with a caregiver, we collect:

That's it. No name, phone number, address, age, or demographics required.

4c. Photo Recovery Data (On-Device Only)

The Photo Recovery feature accesses your device's local media trash to identify and display recoverable photos. All processing occurs entirely on your device. We do not collect, upload, store, transmit, or have access to any of your photos or media files. Photo data never leaves your device.

4d. Blocked Caller Data (On-Device Only)

The Blocked Caller Detection feature accesses your device's blocked numbers list to compare against your saved snapshot. All processing occurs entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store this data on our servers, and it is not included in caregiver sync.

4e. Device & App Diagnostics

Google Firebase (our backend provider) automatically collects basic technical information when you use the App, including your device model, Android OS version, app version, and timestamps of authentication events. This information is used solely for authentication, security, and service operation. We do not enable Firebase Analytics or any crash reporting SDKs.

4f. Subscription & Billing

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment information (credit card numbers, billing address, etc.). We receive only a confirmation of your subscription status from Google Play.

4g. Waitlist (Website Visitors)

If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address solely to notify you when PhoneRestore launches. We do not send marketing emails beyond launch updates, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

5. Data We Do NOT Collect

To be crystal clear, PhoneRestore does not collect, transmit to our servers, or store on our servers any of the following:

6. How We Store Data

Device settings snapshots are stored locally on your device. If caregiver features are enabled, data is synced via Google Firebase (Firestore + Authentication), hosted in the United States, using encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use Firebase Security Rules to ensure only you and your authorized caregivers can access your data. Photo Recovery and Blocked Caller Detection process all data locally on your device; no photo or call data is ever sent to our servers.

7. Caregiver Pairing & Senior User Rights

PhoneRestore is designed in part for senior users who may share access with a caregiver. We take the following commitments seriously:

8. Who Can See Your Data

9. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate PhoneRestore. We do not use any analytics, tracking, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs.

Each of these providers is contractually restricted from using your data for their own AI/ML training or for advertising purposes related to PhoneRestore users.

10. AI and Machine Learning

We do not use your personal data to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any artificial intelligence or machine learning models. We do not sell or share your data with any third party for the purpose of AI or ML training. Our service providers (listed in Section 9) are bound by their standard terms, which restrict the use of our customer data for training their general-purpose models. If we ever introduce AI-powered features within PhoneRestore, we will update this policy and clearly disclose what data, if any, is used and how.

11. Children's Privacy

PhoneRestore is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data only as long as you use PhoneRestore:
